My work to move our city forward.

As President of Vallejo Main Street, Chairman of Vallejo’s Code Enforcement Appeals Board, and the former Chairman of the Vallejo Economic Vitality Commission, I have already navigated the complex bureaucracies of Vallejo City Hall to get results for our community.

It has been my goal since Day 1 in these roles to trailblaze new approaches. I never want to see a single dollar that could go towards our communities wasted. That’s why I’ve set new standards for requesting funding that have been adopted city-wide. I’m so proud of the work I have already done for you. Here’s a small sampling of my proudest accomplishments:

  • As Chairman of the Code Enforcement Appeals Board, I partnered with the City Council to expand staffing by two additional officers in the Code Enforcement Division.
  • As Commissioner of the Code Enforcement Appeals Board, I partnered with board members and City Council to update municipal code that expanded powers of the board to provide thousands of dollars of fee relief to vulnerable seniors.
  • Over an ongoing six year period, consistently fulfilled duties as one of seven appeals hearing officers on code enforcement cases.
  • As Chairman of the Economic Vitality Commission, I partnered with commissioners to develop and implement 3 first-of-their-kind City Council-approved work plans and budget requests for the EDC, which set a new standard across Vallejo for every other commission.
  • As Chairman of the Economic Vitality Commission, I commissioned a study on downtown revitalization efforts and subsequently led the relaunch of Vallejo Main Street (VMS), a historic downtown revitalization nonprofit.
  • As Chairman of the Economic Vitality Commission, I re-established relationships with regional and state agencies to promote private investment and economic development in Vallejo.
  • As Vallejo Main Street President, I currently oversee programs that support business, attract residents and visitors to the downtown area and contribute to keeping tax dollars local, while securing philanthropic and public funding to increase downtown foot traffic and support our local businesses.
  • As Chairman of the Economic Vitality Commission, I partnered with Vallejo City Council to update municipal code that resulted in more frequent meetings and increased public transparency on funding.
  • I championed the update to the Economic Development Strategic Update and participated in citywide engagement conversations.
  • I championed funding for road repavement, traffic calming and safety funding.
  • I currently serve as board member of Fresh Air Vallejo, an environmental advocacy nonprofit working to protect our air, lands, water, health.
  • I previously served on the Solano County Redistricting Advisory Committee Member for District 1 to support 2020 redistricting efforts.
  • I led the Elevate Youth fellowship over a three-year period (2020-2023), supporting skills and community development initiatives for youth aged 16-24 living in Vallejo, Fairfield and Oakland.
